Minuteman Disaster Response looks forward to you deploying with us and serving the people of this community.
Here are the details for the upcoming deployment:
GROUP: CENTRAL BAPTIST ROUND ROCK
TRANSPORTATION: Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the LaPlace, LA area.
HOUSING: Volunteers will bunk together in a climate controlled Mobile Sleeping Unit
RESTROOMS: Volunteers will have access to climate controlled restrooms on-site
SHOWERS: Volunteers will have access to hot showers each day
FOOD: 3 meals will be provided daily for all volunteers
WHAT TO BRING: Each volunteer should bring overnight sleep gear, toiletries and bath towel. Mattresses and pillows are provided. Bedding is not.
WHAT TO WEAR: All volunteers will be required to wear a shirt, long pants, work or hiking boots, safety glasses and gloves. Hard hats are provided when necessary.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Each day starts off with breakfast and morning briefing. Work orders are assigned and volunteers are assigned to a team leader. Volunteers will assist with removing debris from the property and interacting with the homeowner (any high risk related operations will be carried out by fully trained and certified Minuteman Volunteers). Lunch will be provided on the job site or at basecamp. Work day ends at 5p each day with equipment cleanup and rehab followed by dinner and debrief.
